What an exciting new year this has been for seniors! Time is going by so quickly and in just a few months the senior class will begin their transition into the workforce or college. We would like to invite all parents and their senior child to come to the school on January 29th from 5:00-7:00 pm to help with the paperwork to prepare our seniors for college. We will have a member from Shawnee State’s financial aid department here to help with any questions. We will be completing the application FAFSA. All students and parents must complete this application prior to attending college. Before coming on January 29th, the student AND parents must obtain a PIN number. This can be done by going onto the website www.fafsa.ed.gov. It only takes a minute to apply for the PIN. You will need to know your social security number. This PIN must be obtained before FAFSA night; it may take a few days to receive your PIN number. If you have another child who has attended college you should already have a PIN and that one must be used. Other documents needed to complete the application process are as follows: PIN number Completed income taxes (parents and student, if student has filed) W2s (parents and student if student has worked) Social Security Card Driver’s License Any other benefit and income information Please feel free to call if you have any questions. Hope to see you on January 29th between 5:00-7:00 pm!
Sincerely,
Crystal Guilkey & Rhonda Schuler School Counselor Senior Advisor
