We are moving our CTC tours to Tuesday February 4, 2025. Sophomores will be riding the bus to the CTC in Piketon in order to have hands on experience and learn about the programs offered at the CTC. The bus will leave around 8:05 am and return around 2:00 pm. Students received a permission slip on Thursday. ONLY return the permission slip if you do not give your child permission to go to the CTC tomorrow. Thank you!

Attention parent and guardians of 10th grade students. The 10th grade students recieved a letter today that will inform you about CTC tours on Wednesday, February 5th. You ONLY need to return it signed if you DO NOT want your student to go. Thank you.

Parents, we wanted to make you aware that these papers were given to all 11th and 12th grade students who attend the High School today. These are guidelines and requirements for graduation, Prom, incentives, field trips, etc. This will also apply to 9th & 10th graders attending prom with a date as well. **There is similar criteria for PBIS, Field trips, etc. for all students 7th - 12th grade. If your 11th or 12th grade student was absent today , they will need to stop in the office the next day they are present. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Roush in the High School office. We had a bus call off this morning. Jessica will driving for Brandis and will be running about 15 minutes behind normal time. Possibly 20. Sorry for the inconvenience.

With a forecasted actual low of -6° tomorrow morning we will be canceling. It looks like smooth sailing after tomorrow!! If anybody is without electric or needs a place to warm up, we will have several staff members here tomorrow to make sure you have a place to go.

We will be canceling school on Tuesday, January 21st due to extremely cold morning temperatures. It probably goes without need for explanation, but with windchill and temperature values as low as this, any significant delay in a bus pick up or a bus getting hung up in a snowy turn around and not being able to contact the kids waiting outside is a major concern.

Tomorrow will be regular time for school. We will be running the same roads as we did today. Meeting times will be the same except for two hours earlier.

This message is for Western CTC students! Western CTC students will be dismissed to come to the high school for the Pep Rally tomorrow at 1:15PM. Pep Rally starts at 2:00PM. We will have a bus there to get the bus riders at 1:15PM as well to bus them to the Pep Rally. If you have any questions call the high school.

Last message. I promise. Unless it snows tonight. We will not be running Hackelshin, The Township Road part of Leeth Creek, Viar Road, Beekman Ridge, Woods Rd, Davis Road, and Green Ridge past the fire tower. The bus meeting times will be the same as today for those roads.

I'm going to do something that I have never done before, but I feel like this is a situation where I can justify it. We are going to be on a two hour delay tomorrow. This situation is a little different because of the conditions of driveways and the fact that some parents are not able to get down to the end of the road to wait on the bus with their kids. I want you to use your judgment as a parent and if you feel like it is too cold for your child to stand out and wait for the bus in the morning then you can send a note in with them on Thursday and they will be excused. We will only be able to excuse them if you send in a note stating that they were not there because of the cold temperatures. I don't want to cancel tomorrow because we have a lot of kids that need to be in school tomorrow and I don't want to take away that opportunity. Tomorrow will be a judgment call for you as a parent on whether or not you send your child. Again, in order for the absence to be excuse you need to send in a note with them when they return to school.

If you were scheduled for an attendance meeting tomorrow morning at 9 AM at the high school, it is being rescheduled due to the 2 hour delay. The letter's that you received do state this, but we wanted to send out a reminder just in case. We will have someone contact you with a new meeting date. Thank you.

Bus 15 is running 15 minutes late. Please let your kids know that they can wait 15 minutes to go outside.

Reminder: Our annual College Credit Plus information meeting will be this evening at 6:00 pm in room 101. Please enter at the front High school entrance. This meeting is important for students in grades 6-11 who are interested in earning college credit next school year. Thank you!

We won't run the following roads: Woods Rd - meet at 8:30 Beekman Ridge - meet at 9:05 Tater Knob - meet 9:20. Davis Rd - meet 8:55 Turner - meet Nipgen at 8:50 Green Ridge - can't navigate the turnaround because there are cars there. Meet at fire tower at 9:30. Viar Rd - meet at Leeth Creek at 9:18 Owens Rd - 9:17 Hackelshin- meet at Township hall at 9:20. We won't run the township Road part of Leeth Creek If a bus does not run your road, you will not be counted absent tomorrow.
