Marvin left the school about 745 to begin picking up students who ride bus five. The first pick up should be in approximately 15 minutes or so.

This message is for students who ride Brandis Theobald‘s bus number five. Due to the fact we have three drivers out in the morning we will not be able to have all the routes covered so we will have to double route bus number five in the morning. I apologize for the inconvenience but due to the Covid rules we aren’t able to do some of the things with combining routes that we have done in the past. Again this is for students to ride bus number five. As soon as we send the bus out in the morning from the school I will make a call. We should be sending the bus out in the morning around 745 with the first pick up probably being around 815 but I will make contact in the morning to let you know for sure

From Mrs. Long Message for College Credit Plus Students: Deadline to add or drop a class for this semester is September 5th at Southern State and September 4th at Shawnee State.

From our school nurse: Letters went home this week for all students in 7th and 12th graders that are not up to date on vaccines. If you received a letter for your child please get the required vaccines by 9/9/2020. After this date, the law provides that students NOT IN COMPLIANCE with these requirements MUST BE EXCLUDED from school until the student provides verification of the immunization received, has a scheduled plan signed by the physician, or obtains an exemption signed according to the provisions of the law. This also applies to any student doing blended learning. If you have any questions please call the school nurse at 740-493-2881.

Elementary pictures will be taken on September 15th. Packages and pricing are listed below.

This was posted last week but we wanted to get it out there one more time. Pictures for grades 7-12 are Wednesday, September 2nd. Seniors need to dress up for your composite (forever on the wall) picture. Guys, if you don't have a dress shirt and/or tie we have some here.

Just a reminder that high school pictures are on Wednesday, September 2nd. We will take CTC seniors first so they can board the bus ASAP.

Reminder: Community Back to School supply giveaway this evening, Thursday Aug 13th from 6-7:30. It will be a drive thru event held in front of the Jr High Gym. Each car will drive up and give the names/grades of their children and supplies will be brought out. We also have a limited amount of non perishable food items to hand out. This is only for Western students who are attending in the fall. Thank you Overflow Missions and our local churches for sponsoring the giveaway.

High School Safe Start Orientation Calendaro

Mandatory soccer practice begins Monday August 10th and will be Monday through Friday 6:30-8:00 until school starts. For high school and junior high.

Remember Free sports physicals are until Aug 14th. Call the clinic at the school 740-493-1800 or go to SOMC urgent care in Waverly.

Reminder: Food pick up is today at 11am in front of the junior high gym.

Any student entering grades 9-12 who wishes to play golf this fall—there will be open range tomorrow at Big Beaver Golf Course 10am-11am. Please message Mr. DeLotell or Mr. Orin if you can make it. Please also message them if you plan to play, but cannot make it tomorrow.

Attention anyone who picked up food during the COVID school closing in the spring at Western. We have a boxed food distribution planned for 11 am on this coming Tuesday, August 4th. There is quite a bit of food available. Please pull around in front of the bubble “the junior high gym entrance” just like before. We will use the same system as before. Boxes of food will be put on the table out front and we will have one family at a time come up to the table to get their box or boxes. Thank you.
