Literacy & Parent Night scheduled for Grades Pre-K-3rd, this evening,Thursday, January 24 has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 31 from 5:30-6:30.
The Jungle Book Musical practice scheduled until 4:30 today followed by a mandatory parent meeting, will be rescheduled for a later date.
We are going to go ahead and close for Thursday due to the high water and ice on the roads. They’re getting ready to close 124 in Idaho and we have several roads that have water issues and we are also dealing with ice. Although it looks good by this afternoon this morning is definitely going to be a no go so everyone have a great day.
I apologize for the late notice but I have had a terrible time getting this message sent. We are going to have a two hour delay tomorrow mainly due to flooded ditches and standing water on the roads and also the possibility of ice tomorrow morning. I don’t want student drivers or buses coming up on flooded roadways in the dark in the morning especially with the possibility of ice due to the 26° forecasted temperature. Again I apologize for the late call but it has not been due to lack of effort!!!
We will be running Red Bridge this afternoon so any students who live on Red Bridge who are here today can be taken home by bus
Bus eight will not be running on the steep end of Leeth Creek this morning
Bus 19 will not be running on Redbridge this morning past McCoy. Tonda will be at the end of McCoy between 7:15 and 7:20for any Redbridge students who want to meet the bus there. Red bridge students who do not attend will be excused
We will be having school at normal time tomorrow. However students who attend the ECFC in Piketon will not attend tomorrow due to water problems at the school. Also bus 18 will not run Hackleshin Road and bus 14 will not run Davis Road

On January 30th, at 5:00 P.M. we will be having an informative meeting for any Jr. High or High School student and parents who are interested in traveling internationally. We will be serving light refreshments and discussing a trip with EF Tours we have planned for the summer of 2020 to tour the country of France. We will be presenting all information including the cost, benefits, sights, and timetable for the trip. If your student, or yourself have ever wanted to see the world, this is an excellent opportunity to experience. Again, we will meet at 5pm on January 30th in room 101, we hope to see you there!
Our college Credit Plus Parent/Student Informational Meeting Meeting will be held Wednesday January 30th at 6pm in room 101 at high school. It is required by the Ohio Department of Education for parents and students to attend this meeting if your son or daughter plans to participate in College Credit Plus for the 2019-2020 school year! Bus 14 will not be running Davis Road this morning. Just a word of caution to anyone driving back roads warning that there is a fine mist and when it hits the cold road that has any snow cover it is slick so please use extra caution this morning when driving. Main roads are good at this point

All high school basketball games at Paint Valley have been canceled for today. Roads are already slick with more on the way. We will let you know the rescheduled date ASAP.
The 3rd-6th grade youth league basketball games have been cancelled for today. They will be rescheduled at the end of the season.
Due to 124 being closed above the fish hatchery student to ride bus number five and best number 18 will be arriving home possibly a few minutes later or a few minutes earlier than normal because we have had to reroute the buses. Students should be home close to normal time but a couple of the routes had to run backwards because of the road closure.
We had a sub driver not show up this afternoon so Marvin’s students will be arriving home around 25 minutes later than normal. Students who ride bus 10 will be coming home on bus nine today and will arrive around 25 minutes later than normal.
Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting for College Credit Plus for the 2019-2020 School Year is Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 6:00. A representative from Shawnee State University will be here as well as information will be provided by Southern State Community College.
Good evening! I wanted to make sure everyone is aware that students do not report tomorrow to school. The first day back for students will be Thursday. Tomorrow is a staff professional development day. Kids enjoy one more vacation day!!
