We will be sending home all students who ride bus nine and live on Lapperell, Purdue, and Stewart Hollow Road at 2:45 today. This only applies to Donna bus 9. Students who live on Grassyfork will be leaving at normal time

The junior high boys game that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled. It has been rescheduled for December 19. Also, Friday’s game at Notre Dame the JV boys will only be playing 2 quarters. The varsity boys game will start earlier.

Unfortunately we will be canceling today due to snow covered roads. Everyone have a great day.

The Christmas tree lighting festivities will go on as planned no matter the weather. Everything will be inside except for the actual tree lighting at 7 PM. Everyone can come into the high school cafeteria starting at 6 PM.

This is a reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, December 1st, we will have our second annual Christmas tree lighting at Western in front of the schools at 7 pm. Come early at 6 PM (in the high school cafeteria) and your children can decorate the tree with ornaments that they can make. We will also have Santa has also decided to come! Enjoy hot cocoa and cookies too! Hope to see you all there it will be a great evening!

The sewer issue has been fixed. We will be having school tomorrow, Friday Nov. 30th.

The JH and HS girls games will be played as scheduled. JH at home and HS girls @ Notre Dame.

We are going to have to cancel the blood drive tomorrow because we don’t think the turnout will be good enough. We will notify you as soon as we have a make up date.

I know this is not a message anyone was expecting tonight but Western will not have school tomorrow due to a sewer back up in the elementary building. We have worked on it all night and haven’t been able to get it fixed. Everyone enjoy your free day off.

Tonda had trouble getting her bus started and will be running about 15 to 20 minutes late this morning

Mark your calendars for a wonderful evening!

Bus 18’s first pick up is normally at 6:40. We will try to have the bus leaving here by 7:40 so the first pick up should be around 7:50. Students should get picked up around one hour and 10 minutes later than normal. We will run the route in the same way it normally runs in the morning.

I have already sent the voice call about this but I want to put it out in print also. We do not have a driver for Bus 18 tomorrow. Therefore we will have to do a double route. We will send a bus from the school at around 7:40 to begin Teresa’s route. First pick up should be around 8 AM or a little after. I apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

Bus 16 cannot get past Shannon‘s house on Beekman Ridge due to an electric fire and so the back end of Beekman Ridge Road will not be picked up. Students will be excused.

The last message was for students who ride bus 15 only.

Shannon Beekman has a tree on fire in her driveway and has to wait for it to be moved. She will be running late and I don’t want everyone to stand outside and wait so I will notify you when she leaves her house.

This message is going out to everyone for safety but it is only for students to ride Kelly May’s bus 14. We were unable to get a sub driver for Kelly this morning and by the time we would double route students would get here after 11:30. Students who ride Kelly’s bus are not required to attend today and will be given an excused absence if they do not come to school. Any student who wants to come to school today from that bus is more than welcome to but we will not be able to take you home this afternoon so you would have to be picked up. I am very sorry for the inconvenience but the delay caused a double route not to work as it normally would.

We have ice in the tree tops but the roads are fine. Temperature is 32 now and rising. We will be having school. Drivers be careful on bridges and we will see everyone at 10 o’clock.

Western Local Schools will be on a 2 hour delay for 11/15.

Veterans Breakfast Tomorrow at 8:30 am in the high school cafeteria followed by Veterans Day assembly beginning at 9:30. Everyone is welcome to attend!
