The Ohio Department of Education understands the current situation has increased the need for substitute teachers to help schools and districts during the coronavirus pandemic. In response, the Department has been granted the authority under Senate Bill (SB) 1 of the 134th General Assembly to issue a one-time, non-renewable 1 Year Temporary Non-Bachelor’s Substitute Teaching License for the 2021-2022 school year to applicants who do not hold a post-secondary degree but meet the employing school or district’s set of educational requirements. This is a follow-up to the two voice calls that I left. The new quarantine rules only apply to in school exposure. If you are quarantined by the health department due to a positive case outside of school then you still have to follow all quarantine rules that have been in place prior to the change. If you were quarantined by our school nurse because you were a contact with a positive case at school you no longer have to quarantine you just have to wear a mask for 14 days from the last contact with the positive case. If you’re currently quarantined due to school exposure please return tomorrow and wear a mask for the remainder of the 14 day period. A mask is required in order to be able to return. Unmasked and unvaccinated K-12 students and staff members can remain in class after in-school exposure to the virus if they wear a mask for 14 days under new state guidance.
Students exposed to the virus can participate in sports or other extracurricular activities if they wear a mask in most situations and test negative on two proctored coronavirus tests, according to guidance released Monday.

Due to an issue with the trade school route all students except those who ride Penny’s bus and Marvin’s buses will be arriving home between 15 and 20 minutes late today. Students who ride Marvin and Penny‘s buses will be arriving about 20 minutes earlier than normal today.
Food pickup is available at William’s Hardware today until 3 pm.
Students who ride Penny (bus 7) and Marvin (bus 10) will leave school at 2:40 today. We are having to double route. Sorry for the inconvenience. As always we appreciate your understanding and support

Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow (Monday) due to the observance of Columbus Day.
Attention seniors and freshmen: Herff Jones will be at the school today at NOON to collect orders instead of 8:00 for graduation items and class ring orders. The company requested a time change.
