Bus 14 will not be running Davis Road this morning. Just a word of caution to anyone driving back roads warning that there is a fine mist and when it hits the cold road that has any snow cover it is slick so please use extra caution this morning when driving. Main roads are good at this point

All high school basketball games at Paint Valley have been canceled for today. Roads are already slick with more on the way. We will let you know the rescheduled date ASAP.
The 3rd-6th grade youth league basketball games have been cancelled for today. They will be rescheduled at the end of the season.
Due to 124 being closed above the fish hatchery student to ride bus number five and best number 18 will be arriving home possibly a few minutes later or a few minutes earlier than normal because we have had to reroute the buses. Students should be home close to normal time but a couple of the routes had to run backwards because of the road closure.
We had a sub driver not show up this afternoon so Marvin’s students will be arriving home around 25 minutes later than normal. Students who ride bus 10 will be coming home on bus nine today and will arrive around 25 minutes later than normal.
Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting for College Credit Plus for the 2019-2020 School Year is Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 6:00. A representative from Shawnee State University will be here as well as information will be provided by Southern State Community College.
Good evening! I wanted to make sure everyone is aware that students do not report tomorrow to school. The first day back for students will be Thursday. Tomorrow is a staff professional development day. Kids enjoy one more vacation day!!

Thursday our girls take on Waverly for the championship. Game time around 7:30
Friday our boys play Piketon @ 6:00 and Saturday’s time will be determined from Friday’s results.

The junior high game for December 19th has been changed to December 22nd at 10:00 am.
The high school girls basketball game tomorrow at home against Piketon will be played at 4:00.
The schedule says 6:00.
We will be sending home all students who ride bus nine and live on Lapperell, Purdue, and Stewart Hollow Road at 2:45 today. This only applies to Donna bus 9. Students who live on Grassyfork will be leaving at normal time
The junior high boys game that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled. It has been rescheduled for December 19. Also, Friday’s game at Notre Dame the JV boys will only be playing 2 quarters. The varsity boys game will start earlier.

The Christmas tree lighting festivities will go on as planned no matter the weather. Everything will be inside except for the actual tree lighting at 7 PM. Everyone can come into the high school cafeteria starting at 6 PM.
This is a reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, December 1st, we will have our second annual Christmas tree lighting at Western in front of the schools at 7 pm. Come early at 6 PM (in the high school cafeteria) and your children can decorate the tree with ornaments that they can make. We will also have Santa has also decided to come! Enjoy hot cocoa and cookies too! Hope to see you all there it will be a great evening!
