We are going to start out tomorrow on a two hour delay. We are still under a level one right now. The big issue is the temperature is forecasted to be 30 or 31 in the morning with snow forecasted all night. Probably won’t amount to much snow but the temperature is the issue. Don’t anticipate any issue after the first thing in the morning but I would rather not find out at 7:15 that we have ice. Thanks

Our College Credit Plus required meeting for Parents and Students has been rescheduled for Thursday February 25, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the high school. This is an annual meeting and is required for all students wanting to participate in CCP for the 2021-22 school year. Representatives from Southern State Community College and Shawnee State University will be presenting the current CCP Information.

Great Kindness Challenge Next week, January 25-28, Western Primary and Elementary will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge! With all that's going on in the world today, we need to work together to create a culture of kindness. We will have different activities all week to spread kindness and positivity. Firstly a list of 50 acts of kindness was sent home Friday that you and your family can do. Please help your child do at least 10 of them, sign and return by Monday, February 1, for a chance to win a $10 gift card! We will draw one winner from each grade level! Each day we will dress for Spirit Days to raise awareness and positivity. The schedule will be as follows: Monday, 1/25 - Hats off to Kindness - Wear your favorite hat. Tuesday, 1/26 - Dream of Kindness - Wear your pjs. Wednesday, 1/27 - Shine Bright with Kindness - Wear neon and sunglasses. Thursday, 1/28 - Team Kindness Wear your favorite sports shirt. Friday, 1/29 - No School - Blended Learning Day Next, we will be having a Kindness Poster contest. Students will have time to work on them during computer class. They will also be due on Monday, February 1. Prizes will be determined based on participation. Together we can make the world a kinder place in 2021!!!!

Western‘s 2021 homecoming ceremony will be broadcast live on Facebook tonight beginning at 6 PM. We obviously know we can’t have the traditional ceremony but we wanted to give our girls who were chosen to represent their classes the opportunity to have a homecoming and we want you to be able to experience it with them.
