Any student in kindergarten that has not had their required immunizations for school will need to get the immunizations and turn in proof to the school before September 4, 2019. Letters were sent home in book bags last week with students who still need to get the immunizations. If the student’s immunization record is not up-to-date, or we have not received written proof of your child receiving the vaccine, you will be in violation of Ohio law, and it will become necessary to exclude this student from school until we receive the updated information. This absence will be unexcused. If you have any questions please contact Holly Tackett, school nurse, at 740-493-2831. Thank you.

I apologize for the inconvenience but we will be double routing for bus 15 tomorrow morning due to some on expected family issues. We will send out the first bus that comes to the school which should be around 730 so the first pick up should be around 7:45 to 7:50. Bus 15 picks up McKinney Road, Leeth Creek, and part of 124.

And he stated he plans to play football this year and has not contacted Coach Reese needs to contact him today either through the Western Indians Football Facebook page or by contacting him directly at 740-771-6955. We have to have an accurate number of players and we can’t just banking on the kids showing up when school starts because there are rules about number of days of conditioning before full practice. If you plan to play football in grades seven through 12 this year you must contact Coach Reese today either directly or through Facebook. We will assume anyone he does not contact him today is not planning to play and we will base our numbers on that.

Letters went out yesterday for any student going into 7th or 12th grade that still needs immunizations required by law to attend school. Students who receive a letter will need to get the immunizations and turn in proof to the school before school starts. Also any student who will need to take medication this coming school year will be required to have the proper medication form filled out by the doctor and parent. This form will need to be given to the school nurse before school starts or on the first day of school. No medication will be given to any student including diabetic students, unless the proper forms are turned into the school by the first day of school. There are forms available at the school if you need one. Thank you -- Holly Tackett BSN, RN

Attention Western Boys Basketball Youth: Due to low number of kids signed up for camp (3 with paper turned in and 3 other phone calls that aren’t 100%) we are going to cancel youth camp for this summer. If you have turned stuff in we will get you your things back. We are not abandoning the idea of working with the youth. Instead we are going to put on some free clinics during the fall and winter for our young guys and try to get enough interest to start youth camp back up next summer. Sorry for any inconvenience but we cannot run a youth camp with three kids. Our staff is excited about the opportunity to learn and grow with our youth starting in the fall. Stay tuned for dates and information on our free clinics!
