Western High School National Honor Society
Bus 10 and bus 15 will be 10 to 15 minutes late today because we had to reroute.
Due to several drivers out today and a field trip to Columbus that won’t return until after school we’re going to have to double route bus 18. Student to ride bus 18 will leave school today at 2 PM.
All of our buses are running about 30 minutes behind this evening due to a power line down before you get to the school.
Bus 16 is on the road and will be running about 20 minutes later than normal
St. Patrick’s Day Dance Thursday! It’s from 8-10 on Thursday. We don’t have school Friday that’s why we’re having it Thursday. $3 admission and there will be concessions. All proceeds go to benefit Prom.
Jr high recognition day Wednesday. The kids will eat at 12:05-2:30. At 2:30 participation certificates will be passed out if parents would like to attend at that time.
This message is for bus 19 students. Just got a call this morning around 630 that Honda isn’t going to be able to drive due to medical issue. We will be double routing her route this morning. Contacted all the subs and no one can drive. Bus 19 students will pick up approximately an hour later than normal.
Reminder: Juniors are taking the ACT Tuesday March 12th. Please be at the high school by 7:45AM. Also, there is a Mandatory college credit plus meeting on Wednesday March 13th at 6:00PM in room 101.
Seniors- Herff Jones will be at the CTC on the morning of March 20 and at the High School during lunch to pass out cap and gown orders. If you have a balance this will need to be paid before you can pick up your graduation items. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Schuler.

As much as I do not want to I’m going to have to cancel today. The other three schools and the CTC have already canceled which means our CTC kids would be out anyway. Most of our roads are in good shape but the hills are slick in spots. Even my biggest supporters would think I’m an idiot if we are the only school in the county to go and there was an accident with a bus or a student driver. If you think I’m nuts for canceling then you have a good argument but I’m not willing to be the only want to go to school in the county and risk an accident because some of the roads are definitely slick in spots. With that being said Western will be out today. 
Two hour delay for Western this morning. Roads are bad and I don’t anticipate having to close but the radar shows that it is going to keep snowing for a while so more than anything just want to make sure we don’t hit something really hard coming down while buses are out and a delay should take care of that problem.
High School Winter Sports Banquet will be- Tuesday, March 12th at 6:30pm in the high school cafeteria.
The Heart for Art field trio for students in k-6th has been cancelled for tomorrow. Reschedule date is March 22nd.
Bus 9 will be running about 15 to 20 minutes late this morning due to an unexpected driver call off this morning.
The Health department will be coming in today from 10:00 until 2:00 to give immunizations for any student going into 7th and 12th grade next fall. Parents must come in to complete a permission slip if you did not send one in with your student. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of getting your kids shots. This is required by law for your student to attend school.
Track practice is canceled for today 3/4/2019.
Due to no school, we are canceling tonight’s workshop. We will not reschedule but will just have one workshop tomorrow. Please make plans to attend. 3:30-5:30.
