Reminder that our awesome 3rd Grade students will be taking their state English Language Arts Test on Tuesday, October 22 & Thursday, October 24. Attendance and a positive attitude are important on both of these days.
Just a reminder that we will be dismissing school for all students tomorrow at 12:30. CTC students do not have school at all tomorrow so you will have the entire day off. Also Herff Jones reps will be at school tomorrow at 11 o’clock to talk about graduation packets and class rings.
Due to a tree being down on Aeurville Road bus 1 and bus 12 had to switch route. Doug will be picking up Penny’s kids and he’s running about 15 minutes behind. Penny is picking up Doug’s kids and is running just a little behind.
Due to a breakdown this morning bus eight is running about 30 minutes behind.
Reminder: there is no school tomorrow, Monday October 14th for Columbus Day.
Also, on Friday, October 18th we will be dismissing at 12:30.
Seniors- Herff Jones will be at Western on Friday, October 18th during lunch from 11:00- 11:45 in room 101 to collect graduation orders and class ring orders. If any CTC student did not get their order in when Herff Jones came to the CTC can come at this time also. If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Schuler.
Thank you!
Western Local Board of Education will meet on 9/30 @ 4pm in the Richard H. Walls boardroom.

Reminder tomorrow, Thursday, September 26 is fall picture day for students in preschool through sixth grade.
We will be conducting our annual required school safety drill tomorrow beginning at 12 o’clock. We plan to have all students on ready to head out by one. Please be aware that the entrances to the school will be closed off starting at 12 o’clock and will not be re-openEd until the drill is over so anyone needing to pick up a student must be in and out before 12 o’clock. The goal is to prepare our students not to scare them but we will be conducting the drill in the same manner as if there were a real emergency however we will not be attending to scare the students but procedurally we will do it the same way. We will be explaining to your students in the morning that this is only a drill so we will not scare them but we do want to encourage you to talk to your student tonight about the importance of safety drills.
I apologize for the late notice but we will have to double route for bus 15 in the morning. The first pick up should be approximately 745 or 750
Reminder tomorrow is the first day of the student run credit union.
