Reminder: Any student wanting to participate in college credit plus through Southern State next school year needs to apply online before August 6. We offer classes in our building for grades 10th-12th. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Long at 740-493-2514

Just a reminder that we will be dismissing at 1o’clock tomorrow afternoon. CTC students do not have school at all tomorrow and will not be picked up in the morning.

School was on lock down because of a smoke detector in the elementary. Just letting everyone know there was no emergency situation. It is protocol.

Seniors graduation is practice tomorrow at 8:15 am, followed by a walking parade down the elementary hallways so bring your cap and gowns, followed by a senior lunch. Mrs. Marhoover will be taking Best of the Best pictures as well. Come ready for an individual picture if you have senior best of the best pictures because it will be in the yearbook. Thank you!

Farmers to Family food boxes are available at Williams hardware today. It is first come first served. Any Western family who would like to pick up food boxes please do so today. There are no income requirements. All Western families are welcome to participate.

Bus 5 was unable to complete the entire route on Newland ridge due to a road closure this morning. If your child was not picked up on Newland ridge they will not be counted absent.

All Chromebooks, chargers and cases have to be turned in by May 24th. Blended students can turn theirs into the high school office.

*We have a few seats available for families who need 9 tickets for graduation. Please only ask for 9 tickets if you absolutely need them for family members. Space is limited but we are trying to accommodate if we can. To order nine tickets, you must call the high school office by 3pm Friday the 21st to request the tickets. Ask for Rachel.
*Mandatory practice for graduation is at 8:15 AM in the high school gym on Monday the 24th. All seniors must attend. Remember to bring your caps and gowns because there will be a parade through the elementary directly following graduation practice. There will also be a picnic for the seniors after the parade. Seniors may leave after the picnic.

This coming Friday the 21st is our eighth grade graduation and awards day. Parents of eighth graders will need to be here no later than 9:30AM for eighth grade graduation and eighth grade awards.
Parents of seventh graders, ninth graders, 10th graders & juniors may come at 12:30 PM for awards day. Eighth grade graduation and awards day will be held in the high school gym.

If any student needs two extra tickets for graduation seats for a total of eight tickets, please contact the high school office or message the high school Facebook page by this Friday at the end of the school day. Thank you.

If anyone needs extra seats for eighth grade graduation, each student can have two extra seats for a total of eight people. If anyone needs two more tickets, the deadline to call into the school or message the high school Facebook page in order to get the extra two seats is tomorrow by the end of the school day.

Reminder: tonight is the high school academic awards banquet which will be held in the high school gym at 6 PM for those who received an invitation.

Important College Credit Plus Announcement. Shawnee State University has extended their application deadline to Wednesday May 19th. The application is online! Thank you!!

All students and families attending prom tonight, please park in the back parking lot and enter through the back doors. As a reminder, students participating in Grand March must be at the school between 5:45-6:00. Students not participating in Grand March must be at the school by 7:30. Please remember that due to COVID, only families of the students that are attending prom and have turned in Grand March forms may attend Grand March.

Reminder: Wednesday, May 12th Art Show in high school gym from 5-7:00. Art is displayed from all students, K-12th grade.
The 6th grade band will perform at 5:30 followed by the high school band. Everyone come out and support these talented students.

Lorie Henderson‘s bus will be arriving home about 30 minutes late. I apologize for the confusion. There was a scheduling conflict. Student should arrive home about 30 minutes later than normal.

Bus 8 students will arrive home at different times this week that normal due to Leeth Creek being closed.
