WHS Student council will be selling Valentine's Day Candy Grams! JH & HS Students can purchase at lunch 02/02-02/09! Elementary Teachers will have forms for Elementary students to take home if interested! Candy Grams will be delivered to students and staff on February 12th!

Jr. High Basketball Game at Clay on Wednesday, 1./21 will just be 1 Girls game and 1 Boys game. No 2 quarters 7th grade. Game time has moved to 5:30.

The Indian Club Basketball game that was scheduled for Tuesday, Jan 20 has been moved to Wednesday, Jan 21 at the downtown gym in Waverly starting at 9:00. (Western plays the second game)
7th and 8th grades Boys Basketball game at Symmes Valley has been cancelled for 1/19. Jr High Girls and HS Girls home game with Symmes is still on.
We are only playing 2 quarters of JV tonight so the varsity game will start approximately 6:45.

Archery sign up and practice for Jan 15 is cancelled. Practice and sign up will be Monday, Jan 19 at 5:30-7:00 in Jr. High Gym.
Due to weather, auditions are canceled for today. However, weather permitting, we will still have auditions this Saturday from 10-1 in the high school cafeteria.
For anyone who cannot make Saturday auditions or is in basketball or cheer, we will accept video auditions. Please state your name, role you are auditioning for and send your video or videos to tracy.collin@westernlocalschools.com.
Remember, you must do the monologue, dance, and song. Video auditions need to be submitted by Saturday at 2 pm.
Considering that we are on a level one and there's no chance for the road conditions to improve with the temperatures we're going to go ahead and close.

Western High School Homecoming Dance will be February 14th this year. Tickets are $10 per person. The doors will open at 6:00PM for pictures. The dance will be from 7PM-9PM in the High School Cafeteria. Tickets will be available starting Monday, February 2nd in the High School Office. This is for 7th-12th grade students.
Freshmen game on Thursday, 1/15 against Northwest is canceled.
I apologize for the late notice, but this message is for all students who live on Grassy Fork, Fields Hollow, and Tater knob. We just had a driver call off and we're going to have to do a semi double route. Students who live on these roads will be leaving at 2:30 today and will be dropped off about 30 minutes earlier than normal. If you're not able to be home to get your child, please call one of the offices and let us know and we will figure out another way to get your child home. Again I apologize for the inconvenience.
The Western Local Board of Education will meet in the Richard Walls Boardroom at 6pm on 1/12.
Jr. High home game against South Gallia will start at 5:30. Jr. High Girls play first, then two quarters 7th grade and last game will be 8th grade.
Monday is a staff PD day. Tuesday is the first day back for students.
Updated Varsity Girls Basketball Schedule - Symmes Valley Makeup game will be 1/19 Home but Jr. High Girls will play first starting at 6:00 - On 1/12 when we travel to Symmes the Jr. High Girls will play before Varsity starting at 6:00.
